So the doctors cleared up her infection only for her to go home and get sick AGAIN! Mom had to rush to her house get her only to have to call an ambulance because she could not move. She took her to another hospital and requested all new doctors. Since, my Mom works in a hospital herself and with her attitude she went to the hospital administration and got the ball rolling after Maw Maw laid on a stretcher for over an hour in a hall way due to crowding in the ER with no medical attention. It's funny how quickly people move there feet when they see their boss and think their job might be on the line. They quickly got her in a room and started running tests. Once again I couldn't go and be with her because they didn't know if was contagious. After the last couple of days in the hospital they figured out that her gall bladder needed to be removed. Her surgeon said he will also be taken out her appendix to avoid any future issues that might come up. I'm going to get to see Maw Maw soon and I know she'll be happy to see Tristan.
By the way...
So far T has not thrown up since he has started taking the Prevacid. To be completely honest I think this is the cure. He has begun to eat me out of house and home. It's so nice to see him eat and not be scared.
MAYBE, JUST MAYBE THINGS ARE STARTING TO LOOK UP!!!

Tristan ended up having and really bad inner ear infection. The inner ear infection is when it's behind the ear drum and the Dr. said it was really painful. Once again T did not complain so I didn't know that he was in pain. I wish he could tell me what was wrong. In the ER they gave him antibiotics via and IV and fluids then released us.
We followed up with his regular Dr. this morning and she changed his prescriptions up a little bit due to past issues with some of them. We also talked about the findings of the speech therapist and what steps to take now. She put him on Prevacid and gave me instructions on when to make an appointment with a G.I. Dr. depending on the results of the Prevacid over the next two weeks to a month. HOPEFULLY, this will be the cure. The Prevacid is for acid reflux and she seems to think this may be the issue since all other things have been ruled out. We'll keep our fingers crossed and say our prayer over the next couple of weeks!!

Well, Maw Maw is in the hospital again. This time they couldn't figure out what was wrong with her and they came to the conclusion that her Dr. over dosed her on antibiotics. QUACK is all I have to say about that. She has a horrible infection in her stomach that is maker her unable to keep anything down and have uncontrollable bowl movements. I feel just horrible for her. She is such an active person I know this is so hard on her. I can not think of a time where she has been this sick in my life time. The worst part is that I can't go see her because the Dr's say she is contagious and I defiantly can't bring this home to Tristan. He picks up everything and I know he would surely get it if I go. The last 6 months have been so stressful. I was hoping that this year would be a lot better but so far there is no sign of it stopping any time soon. I know Maw Maw is strong and will pull through this but being realistic I don't know how much more of this her body can take. She is so tiny to begin with and with all the sickness she just continues to lose weight!

We get to Baylor Children House this morning for the speech therapy appointment only to have to fill out gobs of paper work. I really wish these people would have been on it a little better. You try filling out 10 pages (literally) while trying to keep up with an 18 month old. NOT EASY! Plus, to top it off he is in this "test Mommy phase" which made matters worse. Finally, the therapist came out to check on us and once she saw the issues I was having suggested that we fill out the paper work in the back. Thank you, Jesus!! We get back in her room and she gives T toys to play with while we are talking. We go over the important things and she writes a few things down. We then start talking about what has led us to this point and she continues to observe him as we do this. Once done with the run down of all the stuff she has him eat, drink and sticks little sticks in his mouth that vibrate to see how he reacts. Once all this is completed she looks at me and says...." Unfortunately, this is not an issue that I can help you with." All I could think was GREAT, another dead end. She said she would send her report over to his Dr. and that we should follow up with a G.I. doctor.
By the way, NYE was a lot of funny. There ended up being 14 of us, I think it was. Nikki and her boyfriend Craig were able to make it out which was a great. Also, for the record I kicked everyone's butt in laser tag!! THAT'S RIGHT, EVERYONE!! I got the highest score out of both teams playing AND I never got shot! Try that one on for size baby!!

So of course my life is FULL of drama all the time. Maw Maw, as mentioned before, was supposed to watch T while I got out of the house for some much needed fun tonight. BUTTTT!!! she is sick with a sinus and viral infection. Translation... she's contagious! Which now means that Tristan will not be staying home with Maw Maw. With all that said I would now like to take the time to say... I LOVE MY SITTER. Tristan goes to a private sitter (aka... a sitter that works out of her home) and she is watching kids for a small fee over night. Thanks to her I can still go out tonight. I can drop him off at 7pm and pick him up by 10am tomorrow. I think this is a great thing. Cindy (the sitter) already knows all of his medical issues and how to address them if needed. Tristan is also use to sleeping at her because of his daily nap time. To top it off he loves Cindy's husband David since he doesn't get a lot of male time. WONDERFUL THINGS ALL AROUND!
So tonight the goals are... to look great(hence the new hair color), have a lot of GREAT fun, have a few drinks and make it home in one piece.
Hope all of you have an AWESOME NYE and please be safe out there!!! See ya next year!!! LMAO!!!!!

So now that I'm old I really don't feel like the bar and the high prices on NYE. So I think 'The Crew' is going to hit up Main Event on NYE!! I know it sounds super lame but I'm hoping it will turn out well. It's $40 for dinner, all the games, bowling, laser tag and billiards you can play. To me that sounds pretty good. I mean if I get bored with one thing I can move to another. Plus, I'll start drinking before I go and then follow up with a couple of drinks while I'm there. That should make for a pretty chill evening. I really excited about just getting out of the house. I really haven't had a night to myself since Labor Day. Some adult time will really do me good... Don't you agree? I'm excited that Maw Maw will be coming to the house to watch T so I don't have to worry about rushing back to let the sitter leave.
Ooooh, I dyed my hair tonight. I know, you know, I love being blond but my roots were HORRIBLE!!! I mean 5-6 inches horrible. I dyed it a light ash brown and with Tamie's help. I think it turned out really well. T and I went over to her house for a little get together with some friends. I love that these friends have kids. T gets to have a lot of fun and I get to be around adults at the same time. Bad news though is that T got really sick and threw up every where so we had to leave early. I'll be really glad when my little man starts feeling better. I know he has to be miserable. He'll tell you he's hungry and wants to eat but he can't. :/

Christmas that is!!
So this year, Christmas was pretty damn good. Tristan really got into ripping the wrapping paper and that was super fun to watch. He got two tool sets and you just can't pull him away from them! I was happy to see I did so well with picking out his gift. I think the best gift he got though was from Maw Maw... she got him a tiny recliner! It's sooo funny seeing him steal MY remote and taking it to his chair and start changing the channels. Typical boy that's for dang sure. Of course he got WAY more presents than just those two things. He cleaned up with clothes, DVD's, doodle pad, blanket, balls and lots of other random things kids get. I'll have to say I did pretty well too considering I'm the Mom and normally as a Mom your children get so much than you. (Which is the way it should be by the way!) I ended up with a really nice pair of Guess jeans, new bras from Vicky's, mani and pedi, Lilly Allen CD and a few other little things.
Maw Maw is feeling a lot better but we made extra sure that the ham was cooked all the way through so she didn't get sick. Of course at Christmas there is always lots of food so we ate like no body's business that's for sure. Maw Maw of course said grace at dinner with is always weird since my Mom's new husband, Clint, doesn't believe in God. How my Mom picked him I'll never know. I'm just waiting for Maw Maw to volunteer him for grace at dinner one day. That will be priceless. But I will say Clint is A LOT better than any other man my Mom has dated. My Dad included.
One more good thing about this Christmas, actually two good things, was that I got to spend time with Greg and Kyle that morning to exchange gifts. T really loved the doodle pad from them. The other great thing is that I didn't have to deal with Manuel this year. I haven't heard from him since some time in Sept after a late night drunk dialing. Hopefully, he'll stay away and when he gets super far behind in CS he'll sign over his rights.
Tristan seems to be feeling a little better but he still isn't eating. Hopefully, after the first of the year when we go to the speak therapist they'll find the answer to all this crap. I feel so bad for him because he is consistently sick and he gets tired so easily because he has no energy! I'll just keep praying and keeping my fingers crossed!
Hope all of you had a GREAT Christmas!!

Lets talk about Maw Maw for a little bit...
So since Maw Maw bought her own house she has been super busy. She's found a new church which is SUPER GREAT! I know that makes her so happy. She has settled into the her new neighborhood and has made some really great friends. She even went to the Senior Citizen Center which she swore she would never do. Since Paw Paw has been gone it's been really hard on her and I never thought she would get back to her old self.
A couple of weeks she went to a dance and got hit on!!! Old people are sooooooooooo funny. Even though she wasn't interested I know it made her feel good. Besides the occasional dance she has her weekly brunch at the Country Club and bible study classes a friends house that keeps her busy. With all that said she went to a pot luck at the church about week ago and we're pretty sure she got E. Coli there! I'm sure so older person didn't cook or store something correctly and now she is super sick. She's been in the hospital and is on all kinds of meds. I feel so horrible for her. It seems since she's moved back to TX she goes into the hospital every couple of months with something stupid. I know it's stressful on me but I can't imagine how she feels. Up until this year she hadn't been in the hospital in 20+ years.
Right now she is getting better but we still need prayer for her.

As promised a continuation of yesterday's update.
Tristan
So I forgot to include yesterday that the whole reason T got the blood and stool tests done is because Maw Maw came down with E. Coli. (I'll give you more information on that in a minute.) I had to take T to the ER to have him checked him for it. When we got there we talked to the Dr and he concluded Tristan did not have E. Coli. I then expressed my concerns about Tristan not gaining weight, throwing up consistently and his current Dr not being on concerned about it. He also shared the same concern. He said Tristan's eyes looked a little sunk in and his belly was swollen. The ER Dr referred us to his pediatrician and wrote us a script for and ultra sound of T's belly after a chest x-ray came back normal. We went to the new Dr. and she agreed that something needed to be done about his condition. She sent us for the tests and then also told us to proceed with the ultra sound.
Getting T ready for the ultra sound was the hard part. You take a child who can't eat but wants to and tell him that he can't eat or drink anything for 6 hours. The ride to appointment was the worst. The whole way he was telling me that he wanted to eat and that he wanted juice. He was so upset at one point he started crying! IT WAS HORRIBLE! The good part though was that we didn't have to wait but maybe 10 minutes to be taken back the room and for the ultra sound to begin. He was not happy about the lady pushing on his belly the whole time. I hate watching my child cry and having to hold him down while he does so. Being a Mom is hard! Hopefully we are on the way to recovery!! The next step is now the speech therapist.
Well, I'll have to tell you about Maw Maw later cause T just woke up crying....

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO... Did you miss me? I know you did!!!
What is that you say? Update? You want an update? You can't handle an update!!!
This might be a little to long for one entry so we may have to break it into two or three over the next couple of days.
Thanksgiving
Well that last time we talked it was almost Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving went off without a hitch. I cooked dinner at Maw Maw's and everything turned out well. We relaxed and got fat!! What else do you want on Turkey Day? After Maw Maw's, T and I went to Jodie house for her family's famous chocolate pie! Man, I could eat the whole dang thing! LOVE IT!! To top it off even though T wasn't feeling well and hadn't ate anything most of the day... he ate the pie!! Figures! He is definitely my child. Once we finished up at Jodie's house we came home and called it a night. After all that turkey I was tired!!!
I had the next day off. Since I've been broker than a joke cause the Dr. bills we didn't do any shopping the next day. T and I stayed home and got some much needed rest.
Tristan up date
We got the test results back from the blood and stool work up. There were no infections or elevated levels of any kind. We did find out a couple of things though...
1. He is no longer allergic to milk. Thanks goodness.. That poor baby can have some real ice cream and cheese now. What kid doesn't like a grill cheese samwitch!! (I know it's supposed to be sandwich!! Where's your humor!??)
2. He has a horrible immune system. Everyone gets their immune system from one of their parents and I think Tristan got mine. There is a normal range for your immune system of 24-100+. 24 being the lowest and 100+ being great and you never get sick. Tristan... are you ready... yeah, he is a 23. That's right, he is below the low. The Dr. suggested I take him out of day care. Pffft.... are you kidding me and I'm supposed to work how?
3. He is anemic. Because the boy is sooo tiny and he won't eat meat he is anemic. I have to put him on vitamins with iron to help with the issue. And speaking of vitamins... I can't buy one with an immune boost and with iron! Can someone please get on that for me?
Ok.... so that is enough for now. I'll give you some more updated info tomorrow. Just writing all this made me tired all over again. TOOO much going on these days and to think this is just the tip of the ice berg!!

>>Now add up the total number of points.
>>OVER 60 POINTS: Others see you as someone they should "handle with care." You're seen as vain, self-centered, and who is extremely dominant. Others may admire! you, wishing they could be more like you, but don't always trust you, hesitating to become too deeply involved with you.
>>51 TO 60 POINTS: Others see you as an exciting, highly volatile, rather impulsive personality; a natural leader, who's quick to make decisions, though not always the right ones. They see you as bold and adventuresome, someone who will try anything once; someone who takes chances and enjoys an adventure. They enjoy being in your company because of the excitement you radiate
>>41 TO 50 POINTS: Others see you as fresh, lively, charming, amusing, practical, and always interesting; someone who's constantly in the center of attention, but sufficiently well-balanced not to let it go to their head. They also see you as kind, considerate, and understanding; someone who'll always cheer them up and help them out.
>>31 TO 40 POINTS: Others see you as sensible, cautious, careful & practical. They see you as clever, gifted, or talented, but modest. Not a person who makes friends too quickly or easily, but someone who's extremely loyal to friends you do make and who expect the same loyalty in return. Those who really get to know you realize it takes a lot to shake your trust in your friends, but equally that it takes you a long time to get over if that trust is ever broken.
>>21 TO 30 POINTS: Your friends see you as painstaking and fussy. They see you as very cautious, extremely careful, a slow and steady plodder. It would really surprise them if you ever did something impulsively or on the spur of the moment, expecting you to examine everything carefully from every angle and then, usually decide against it They think this reaction is caused partly by your careful nature.
>>UNDER 21 POINTS: People think you are shy, nervous, and indecisive! someone who needs looking after, who always wants s omeone else to make the decisions & who doesn't want to get involved with anyone or anything! They see you as a worrier who always sees problems that don't exist. Some people think you're boring. Only those who know you well know that you aren't.

It's seems lately Sundays are my only days to post. Well it's another week of drama and sickness all around. It HAS TO stop. I'm getting over being sick. (By the way, I have the super sexy half ass voice LOL!!) Tristan is getting sick again on top of all the new tests we're going through for him and Maw Maw, even though home now, has now come down with a cold too.
I thought I would give a brief update for everyone of how things are going...
Tristan - Good news is he did not throw up at all this weekend. Not so good news is he's now sick. He's got the cough and running nose. In the up coming weeks we have lots of tests to figure out why he won't gain weight and persistent throwing up. We completed his blood test on Friday and we all know I don't do well with blood... SOOO I almost pasted out! Gotta love that!! Over the weekend I collected the stool samples. THANK GOD I have a stuffed up nose!!! One of the grosser things I have now done in my life by the way. I didn't however get the urine sample cause he wouldn't pee in it! Gotta love that.... another trip to the Dr office for that one. Now in the up coming weeks I have to schedule him a ultrasound for his belly and an appointment with a speech therapist to see if it's a motor thing. I'll be glad when we finally get this all cleared up!!!
Maw Maw - She is home and was doing better until this cold thing hit her. She's on tons of meds so I'm sure it will clear it's self up. Hopefully, she'll start feeling a lot better soon. I wish I could go see her but things have been so crazy and I don't want to re-infect her with T and my germs.
Me - Well I feel better than I sound. I got a little bit of sleep this weekend and looking forward to the short week, kinda!! Now that Maw Maw is sick I'll be cooking the Thanksgiving dinner. Good news is I'm 80% caught up on my reports at work so hopefully by this week all should be good!! I'll be keeping my fingers crossed and saying little prayers!!
Hope all is well with everyone else! And if I wore you out with all this reading I'm SORRY!!! Now it's time for laundry and catching up with Dexter!!

As the entry below states I have MILLIONS of reports to catch up on! But today T is sick again!!! That's right my Mom called to tell me he threw up almost a 1/2 a dozen times between 730-1000. So I left work to go get him. I brought him home and fought the fever all day. At one point it was up to 102.6... NOT FUN. I hope this doesn't turn into a major sickness like he had a couple of weeks ago. I really need to get caught up at work and I can't afford all that mess again!! I wish he would just not be sick! Poor little guy....

So I have these reports I have to do at work. They are SUPER EASY but HELLA time consuming!! If I even get a day or two behind it will take me a full day or more to get caught up. Well guess what.... I'm only 11 days behind!! So what does that means I have 99 spread sheets to catch up on!! That's right... 99!!! I didn't miss type that number!!! So I guess that means about 4 days in the whole on stupid reports alone!! So you ask why I'm posting this instead of doing the reports??? Well you would be trying to do anything other than the reports if you were in my shoes too!!! With that said I'm thinking it's time to get back to work....

So I have a new show and I'm sooo excited. It's called Dexter and it's on Showtime. "Dexter" is a total whack job but I can't pry myself from the TV when it's on! Dexter works for the Miami PD but is a serial killer by trade. Crazy huh!!?!?!? So any ways he kills the bad people who don't ever get found out. It's pretty neat..... By far better than the House Wives that's for dang sure. Ooooh and it's on right now! Good thing there's TIVO!!! Man I love that thing. Now if only there weren't soooooo many dang shows on Thursday night I would be a happy woman. I might have to give up THE O.C. but I can't decide yet!!! But that debate is for another day... off to watch my favorite serial killer!!!

Ok... Is it me or is she a little strange? She starts off hot. Playboy and Guess ads on her resume. Then she marries an old man, he dies and then she fights for his money. In the mean time she becomes bigger than a house and acts a total fool. All while her nerdy lawyer follows her around like a lost puppy. She taunts him with flirting but won't give him the time of day. Fast forward a bit.... She loses shit loads of weight with a new diet pill. She all the sudden ends up prego and won't tell anyone who the father is. She give birth in the islands to a baby girl and then all the sudden she is hit by tragedy. She loses her son and no one knows why.
With all the said it gets better! She now is married in the eyes of the Lord but not legally! And to top it off her nerdy lawyer is her baby daddy and the new semi-hubby. I'm soooo confused!

So this Saturday Kyle was sweet enough to watch T for me while I had some me time. I went out, had a good evening and came home to a peaceful house. Kyle left and as I got ready for bed I decided to check on T. When I went in his room... he was sleeping soundly in his crib, nice and snugly under his blanket. I pulled the cover back so I could get him up to change his diaper. To my surprise my child was in bed with only a diaper on.... No PJs!! I stood there for a minute trying to figure out why Kyle hadn't put his PJs on him. They were sitting on top of the dresser next to the diapers so there was no way he didn't see them.
Flash forward to Monday morning... Kyle started his new job with my Mom so I called to check in and make sure she wasn't eating him alive. I talk to my Mom for a minute and then she transfers me to Kyle. Once Kyle gets on the phone I ask him "Is there a reason you didn't put PJs on my child Saturday night?" His response was classic Kyle, "I sleep in my underware so I didn't even think to put them on him." This is why I love him! He has no shame and even when the light doesn't come on he still sticks by his decisions!!!
